Nice ideas, and we'll probably explore them. The problem with lost-media.com is that they just launched their own forum, and I doubt they'd be willing to link to us...Worth a try, though!

They actually have a link area to take you to other Lost sites. One thing I have to say about the Lost fandom so far is that everyone is so willing to plug other peoples sites and forums. Completely different from my BTVS fandom which held on to their members like 'things' and advertising another site was strickly verboden.

Eh...Yeah, I don't care for that so much. I used to run an X-Files club back in the early 90's with hundreds of members, and we encouraged people to go out and find other clubs (like one specifically for Scully fans, or Krycek fans, etc. -- as ours was just a general club); but, other clubs told their members that if they were found to be a member of ours, they'd be removed.
It's all too much. If we get fans from other sites, great! If other sites get fans from us, great! If there's one thing I've learned about Internet forums, it's that each place has its own "feel" to it, and even places with the same topic can co-exist.
What makes Lost-Paradise.net different from all the other Lost forums, though, is that our background color is dark grey.

LOL color schemes do separate forums from one another . It's too early for all the forums to find their own niche, but with my experience when it comes to forums is that they usually each have their own thing to offer. There are the general info forums which get big mostly from being first and/or niftly graphics to lure people in. Then there are the forums which get big for spoilers, and usually have at least one person with inside info. Them there are the forums which become huge through fanart of fanfiction, and lure the crazy fanboy/fangirls. Next would be the sites/forums which offer things no one else does, like screencaps and transcripts. When i owned my own forum I made sure I had ALL elements in hopes some would gain a following in the fandom. In the end fanfiction and Spoilers became a huge part. Mostly because I was lucky to have inside info on future scripts for some shows. Im scouting and emailing like a bi'tch right now to try to find someone to give me future Lost scripts.....trying to wrangle old contacts and the such. So far Ive been unsuccesful . Oh well, it took me 2 years to get my inside info last time....hope it doesnt take that long this time.

Well, I know that all 16 of us are lucky to have you here! And, if my personality rubs-off on this forum at all, we'll probably be known as the fans with [glow=red,2,300]ATTITUDE[/glow]
