That line Sawyer said when Kate confronted him in the jungle during "White Rabbit" is so strange. He says something like, "I made this wish four years ago." What in the world? Has he been wishing for a girl for four years? Did he know Kate four years ago? What is he talking about!?

I think he might have known Kate somehow before the crash, but I'm not certain. From the very first episode that Sawyer was introduced, watching the way he interacted with Kate, I got the sense that they weren't just total strangers. I could be wrong though.
